Etihad Rail is set to transform travel across the UAE like never before. Launching its introductory passenger service on 30 June 2026, the highly anticipated rail network will connect key destinations across the emirates, offering a faster, smarter, and more sustainable alternative to road transport. Operating at speeds of up to 200 km/h, the duration of journeys will be significantly reduced, with travel between Abu Dhabi and Dubai taking approximately 57 minutes. The fleet comprises 13 state-of-the-art passenger trains, each accommodating up to 400 passengers across First, Business, Family, and Economy cabins. Designed with passenger comfort in mind, every train will feature high-speed Wi-Fi, onboard infotainment, and charging ports at every seat, ensuring a seamless experience for travelers. The network will be introduced in four phases. The first phase, commencing on 30 June 2026, will connect Abu Dhabi (Mohamed Bin Zayed City Station) and Fujairah. This will be followed by the second phase on 30 September 2026, extending services to Dubai (Al Yalayis Station) and Al Dhaid, Sharjah. The third phase, launching on 30 December 2026, will expand the network into the Al Dhafra region, while the final phase, scheduled for 30 March 2027, will see full completion of the network with the launch of the Sharjah Train Station. Once fully operational, Etihad Rail will seamlessly connect 11 key destinations across the UAE: Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Al Dhaid, Al Faya, Madinat Zayed, Mezaira'a (Liwa), Al Mirfa, Al Dhannah, and Al Sila.
